This is one of the first pieces I've done for the Lottery that I'm really excited about. It really feels like this was one of the first times that I got to just run wild and free on a Scratcher, making it just how I wanted it.
Note: inspired in part by the closing credits of Kung Fu Panda.
I love this Scratcher, even if I was slightly worried that it would get me stuck in the Schtick of anthropomorphic chiles. Luckily I have a lot coming down the pipeline that has nothing to do with anthropomorphic chiles.
This was my first Scratcher game for the Lottery, so it's been really exciting to see it out in the world. Illustrating it was tons of fun, but let me tell you: I've got bigger, better things in store!
I'm still getting plenty of publicity for my Red vs Green game, thanks to our fantastic publicist. I like to think it's half me being awesome though.
I got a write up in my hometown newspaper, and apparently I was on the news last night. I don't have a TV though, so I didnt' see it.
I also did a live radio interview this morning on KRUIK FM in the Ruidoso area. Would you believe it? The DJ scratched one of my tickets on the air, and won $5! What are the odds? Actually $5 is about 1 in 60, any prize is just under 1 in 5.
Some of you may have had the impression that I'm some sort of professional nomad/crazy-person. Believe it or not though, I hold down a nine-to-five at the New Mexico Lottery as a graphic designer.
