This post is something of an experiment. I've been fascinated by Twitter for months now, but I'm hitting the same question as so many others: "what, exactly, can I do with it that is useful?"

I don't have enough followers to really accomplish anything directly through it. This morning I had the thought though, that it has forced me to put together an awful lot of very punchy little statements. So as a thought experiment I'm going to try to write something that makes sense using only posts copied and pasted off my Twitter stream. Here goes nothing!

I never thought in a million years I'd say this, but thank god Sarah Palin showed up when she did!

Now we all know Americans have a high tolerance for stupid.  We've practically made a national pastime of idiotic arguments.

The health care debate has been a wonderful game of this real national pastime.  The crazy idiot juice was (and still is) really flying over this one.

Then, out of left field comes Sarah Palin.  She popped up out of nowhere, spouting such insane lies and gibberish that even the FOXbots thought it was out of hand.

I could rail away at you with a myriad of statistics and numbers. I could make long-winded ethical arguments. Instead I'll just tell you the stories of people I know and love.
